Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Proactively greet and engage with every customer, creating a warm and welcoming shopping environment from the moment they enter the store.
- Act as a brand ambassador, demonstrating in-depth knowledge of our products, current promotions, and brand story to drive customer loyalty and sales.
- Skillfully operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to accurately and efficiently process transactions, including sales, returns, and exchanges, while adhering to all cash handling procedures.
- Maintain a high level of awareness on the sales floor to prevent loss and ensure a safe and secure environment for both customers and team members.
- Assist customers in finding specific products or making selections by providing personalized recommendations based on their needs and preferences.
- Diligently work to meet and exceed individual and team sales goals and other key performance indicators (KPIs) set by store management.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues with professionalism and empathy, escalating complex problems to a manager when necessary to ensure a positive resolution.
- Participate in the consistent and timely replenishment of sales floor inventory from the stockroom to ensure product availability for customers throughout the day.
- Execute visual merchandising directives by setting up displays, arranging merchandise, and ensuring the store's presentation consistently meets brand standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting store appearance, including fitting rooms, cash wrap areas, and the sales floor, to enhance the customer experience.
- Support omnichannel services, such as processing Buy Online, Pick-up In-Store (BOPIS) orders and assisting with ship-from-store fulfillment.
- Manage fitting rooms by clearing out merchandise, returning items to the sales floor, and assisting customers with sizing and styling in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Prepare the store for opening and closing by completing all assigned tasks, such as light cleaning, restocking, and cash register reconciliation.
- Inform customers about our loyalty program, credit card offers, and other services to enhance their shopping experience and drive business metrics.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to attendance, dress code, and customer service standards.
Secondary Functions
- Receive and unpack new merchandise shipments, verifying quantities against packing slips and preparing items for the sales floor in a timely manner.
- Actively participate in all store meetings, training sessions, and product knowledge seminars to stay informed and continuously enhance your skills.
- Utilize in-store technology, such as tablets or mobile devices, to check inventory, access product information, and better serve customers.
- Proactively seek out opportunities for self-development and express interest in learning new skills or taking on additional responsibilities.
- Assist in periodic inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock audits to ensure inventory accuracy and help identify discrepancies.
- Gather customer feedback regarding products and shopping experiences and share these valuable insights with the management team to help improve our offerings.
- Communicate effectively with fellow team members and leadership to ensure a smooth workflow and a collaborative, positive team atmosphere.
- Support with back-of-house organization, ensuring the stockroom is tidy, safe, and efficient for all team members.
Required Skills & Competencies
Hard Skills (Technical)
- POS System Operation: Experience with or ability to quickly learn point-of-sale software for processing transactions.
- Cash Handling: Accuracy in handling cash, credit card transactions, and balancing a till.
- Basic Inventory Management: Understanding of stock replenishment, receiving, and organization.
- Visual Merchandising: A keen eye for detail and the ability to follow directives to create appealing product displays.
- Retail Math: Ability to calculate discounts, percentages, and sales figures.

Educational Background
Minimum Education:
