Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Champion and drive the achievement of individual, department, and overall store sales goals through effective coaching and performance management.
- Lead by example on the sales floor, actively engaging with customers, modeling advanced selling techniques, and driving key performance indicators (KPIs) like conversion and UPT.
- Provide continuous, in-the-moment coaching, training, and motivation to a diverse team of sales associates on product knowledge, service standards, and clienteling.
- Act as the Manager on Duty, assuming full responsibility for store operations, team supervision, and decision-making in the absence of senior management.
- Guarantee the delivery of an exceptional, brand-aligned customer experience by all team members, ensuring every interaction is positive and personalized.
- Skillfully de-escalate and resolve complex customer issues, turning challenging situations into opportunities for loyalty-building.
- Analyze daily and weekly sales reports to identify business trends, top-performing categories, and areas of opportunity, communicating findings to the team and management.
- Oversee and execute all opening and closing procedures with precision, including cash management, POS reconciliation, and securing the premises.
- Manage daily staff scheduling and zone assignments to ensure optimal floor coverage, maximize productivity, and enhance the customer journey.
- Uphold and enforce immaculate visual merchandising and store presentation standards, ensuring the shopping environment is always compelling and brand-appropriate.
- Partner with the Store Manager to recruit, interview, and onboard new talent, ensuring a strong pipeline of skilled and culturally aligned associates.
- Conduct regular performance check-ins with sales associates, providing constructive feedback and contributing to their formal annual performance reviews.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and inclusive team culture where associates feel valued, motivated, and empowered to succeed.
- Implement and monitor loss prevention strategies and asset protection policies to minimize shrink and protect company property.
- Act as a brand ambassador, consistently embodying the company's values and sharing your passion for our products with both the team and customers.
- Communicate and cascade key corporate initiatives, new policies, and promotional updates to the team, ensuring clear understanding and effective execution.
- Assist in the management of store inventory, including the processing of shipments, conducting cycle counts, and directing stock replenishment activities.
- Drive the growth of the store's client base by teaching and leading effective clienteling strategies, from data capture to personalized outreach.
- Ensure strict compliance with all company policies and procedures, including health and safety protocols, to maintain a secure and safe environment for all.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement innovative business-driving strategies tailored to the local market and customer demographic.
Secondary Functions
- Partner with store leadership to analyze business trends and contribute to the development of strategic action plans.
- Assist in the coordination and execution of physical inventory counts and store-wide audits.
- Actively participate in weekly leadership meetings to review business performance, discuss challenges, and align on upcoming priorities.

- POS Systems: High proficiency in operating modern Point of Sale (POS) systems for sales, returns, and inventory lookups.
- Inventory Management Software: Experience with inventory control systems for receiving, cycle counts, and stock management.
- MS Office Suite: Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook for reporting, communication, and scheduling.
- Sales Analytics: Ability to read, interpret, and derive actionable insights from sales reports and KPI dashboards.
- Scheduling Software: Familiarity with workforce management or scheduling platforms is a plus.
- Cash Handling & Reconciliation: Proven accuracy in managing cash drawers, performing end-of-day reconciliation, and preparing bank deposits.
