Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Develop, manage, and execute a comprehensive content calendar that aligns with marketing campaigns, product launches, and strategic SEO objectives.
  • Conduct in-depth keyword research and SERP analysis to identify content gaps, user intent, and new opportunities for driving qualified organic traffic.
  • Write, edit, and publish high-quality, long-form content, including blog posts, articles, landing pages, and case studies that are optimized for search engines and user engagement.
  • Perform regular, systematic content audits on our existing library to identify opportunities for updates, consolidation, or pruning to improve overall SEO performance.
  • Optimize new and existing web pages with on-page SEO best practices, including title tags, meta descriptions, header structure, internal links, and image alt-text.
  • Collaborate closely with the broader marketing, product, and design teams to ensure content is accurate, on-brand, and visually compelling.
  • Create detailed content briefs for freelance writers and internal stakeholders, ensuring clear direction and alignment with SEO goals and brand voice.
  • Monitor and analyze content performance using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Ahrefs/SEMrush, providing regular reports on key metrics like traffic, rankings, and conversions.
  • Stay at the forefront of SEO and content marketing trends, Google algorithm updates, and industry best practices to ensure our strategy remains competitive and innovative.
  • Implement and manage a robust internal linking strategy to improve site architecture, user navigation, and the strategic distribution of link equity.
  • Repurpose high-performing content into various formats such as infographics, video scripts, social media carousels, and email newsletters to maximize its reach and impact.
  • Analyze competitor content strategies to uncover their strengths and weaknesses, informing our own approach to gain a competitive edge in the search results.
  • Ensure all content meets high standards of quality, readability, and grammatical accuracy while maintaining a consistent brand tone and voice across all platforms.
  • Work with the web development team to identify and help resolve technical SEO issues that impact content crawlability, indexation, and user experience.
  • Integrate relevant and compelling calls-to-action (CTAs) within content to drive lead generation and guide users effectively through the marketing funnel.
