Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Assume full ownership and accountability for the site's Profit & Loss (P&L), including developing and managing annual budgets, forecasting financial performance, and implementing strategies to achieve revenue and cost targets.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive site strategic plan that aligns with broader corporate objectives, focusing on long-term growth, operational efficiency, and market competitiveness.
  • Champion and enforce a world-class safety culture, ensuring strict compliance with all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulations and internal policies to maintain a zero-incident workplace.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the site's senior leadership team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous professional growth across all departments.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement by deploying Lean, Six Sigma, or other operational excellence methodologies to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and optimize workflows.
  • Oversee all aspects of site operations, including production, maintenance, engineering, quality assurance, and supply chain, to ensure seamless and efficient execution.
  • Guarantee that all products manufactured or services rendered meet or exceed stringent quality standards, and ensure the site is prepared for and successfully passes all internal and external audits.
  • Direct all supply chain and logistics functions for the site, including procurement, inventory management, warehousing, and distribution to ensure on-time delivery and cost control.
  • Manage and approve all capital expenditure (CapEx) projects, from initial business case development and justification through to successful project execution and commissioning.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and relationship manager for key clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies, ensuring strong partnerships and a positive company reputation.
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational data to identify trends, address performance gaps, and make informed, data-driven decisions to steer the site's performance.
  • Lead all talent management and workforce planning initiatives for the site, including recruitment, retention, performance management, and succession planning for critical roles.
  • Foster a positive employee relations environment, addressing concerns proactively and, where applicable, managing relationships and negotiations with labor unions or employee representative groups.
  • Direct the site's maintenance and reliability programs to maximize asset uptime, manage equipment lifecycle, and ensure the facility's infrastructure is properly maintained.
  • Ensure the facility and its operations are in full compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations, mitigating legal and financial risks for the organization.
  • Champion the integration of new technologies, automation, and digital tools to modernize operations and create a competitive advantage for the site.
  • Prepare and present regular, detailed performance reports and strategic updates to executive leadership and corporate stakeholders.
  • Cultivate a customer-centric mindset throughout the site, ensuring all teams understand their impact on customer satisfaction and are committed to delivering exceptional value.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • P&L Management & Financial Acumen: Deep understanding of financial statements, budget creation, cost accounting, and financial forecasting.
  • Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma: Expert-level knowledge and practical application of continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., VSM, Kaizen, 5S, DMAIC).
  • Supply Chain & Logistics Management: Proficiency in managing complex supply chains, from procurement and inventory control to warehousing and distribution.
