Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Conduct comprehensive technical SEO audits on our web properties to identify and rectify issues related to crawling, indexing, rendering, and website architecture.
  • Analyze, monitor, and devise strategies to improve Core Web Vitals (LCP, FID, CLS) and overall website page speed for a better user experience and search ranking.
  • Manage and optimize the website's crawl budget through log file analysis, strategic use of robots.txt, and efficient XML sitemap management.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex indexation problems using tools like Google Search Console to ensure all critical pages are present and correctly represented in search results.
  • Develop, implement, and validate structured data markup (Schema.org, JSON-LD) to enhance search result listings and generate rich snippets.
  • Plan and execute the technical SEO components of website migrations, domain changes, and platform updates to ensure minimal disruption to organic traffic and rankings.
  • Audit and provide actionable recommendations for JavaScript-heavy websites, ensuring content is fully accessible and rendered correctly for search engine crawlers.
  • Perform deep-dive competitor analysis from a technical perspective to uncover strategic opportunities and benchmark our performance.
  • Formulate and implement a robust internal linking strategy to distribute link equity effectively and improve information architecture.
  • Monitor and analyze server logs to understand search engine crawler behavior, identify inefficiencies, and spot potential technical issues before they impact performance.
  • Ensure the website is fully optimized for mobile-first indexing, addressing mobile usability issues and ensuring a seamless experience across all devices.
  • Manage canonicalization and redirect strategies (301s, 302s) to prevent duplicate content issues and consolidate ranking signals.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive dashboards and performance reports to track key technical SEO metrics and communicate progress to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with development, UX, and content teams to translate SEO requirements into actionable development tickets and ensure best practices are integrated into workflows.
  • Stay at the forefront of the SEO industry by constantly monitoring algorithm updates, emerging trends, and new tools.
  • Provide technical SEO support for international websites, including the correct implementation and management of hreflang tags.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot page rendering issues to ensure parity between what users and search engines see, especially on sites using client-side rendering.
  • Assist in the identification and recovery process from any manual or algorithmic search engine penalties.
  • Define and implement a robust image optimization strategy, including file compression, descriptive file names, and appropriate ALT text usage.
  • Work with the content team to ensure on-page elements like title tags, meta descriptions, and header tags are optimized according to best practices and keyword strategy.

  • Strong working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and their impact on search visibility.
  • Proven experience with log file analysis and interpretation.
  • Deep understanding of Core Web Vitals and website performance optimization techniques.
