Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Design, develop and maintain comprehensive technical training curricula (onboarding, product updates, certification paths) that map to competency frameworks and key performance indicators such as time-to-proficiency, certification pass rates, and support ticket resolution times.
  • Partner with engineering and product SMEs to translate complex technical concepts into modular learning objectives, hands-on labs, knowledge checks, and job aids that accommodate novice-to-advanced learners.
  • Manage the end-to-end training program lifecycle including needs analysis, learning design, development, piloting, delivery, evaluation, and iterative improvement using adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, Bloom’s Taxonomy).
  • Administer and configure the Learning Management System (LMS): enrollments, course publishing (SCORM/xAPI), user roles, reporting, automated learning paths, and integration with HRIS and SSO platforms.
  • Develop blended learning solutions—virtual instructor-led training (VILT), in-person ILT, microlearning, self-paced eLearning, and hands-on labs—to meet diverse learner needs and geographic distribution.
  • Create and update instructor guides, facilitator notes, participant workbooks, slide decks, lab instructions, assessment rubrics, and microcontent optimized for both synchronous and asynchronous delivery.
  • Deliver technical workshops and training sessions (in-person and remote) for internal teams, channel partners, and customers, ensuring high engagement through demonstrations, labs, and scenario-based exercises.
  • Coordinate training logistics including scheduling, classroom booking, video conferencing setup, hardware/software provisioning for labs, and global session time-zone planning.
  • Build and maintain a library of training assets (videos, demo accounts, sandbox environments, knowledge articles) and ensure version control, accessibility, and discoverability for learners and stakeholders.
  • Establish and track training metrics and KPIs (completion rates, learner satisfaction/Net Promoter Score, pre/post-assessment improvements, certification rates) and generate executive-ready reports to demonstrate program ROI and business impact.
  • Lead train-the-trainer programs and certify internal trainers and partner instructors to scale technical enablement across regions and teams while maintaining quality and consistency.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, vendor relationships (eLearning developers, content vendors, translation/localization partners), and procurement for third-party training technologies and content.
  • Implement and maintain assessments, certification exams, and practical evaluations that validate technical competencies and support promotion or role-based progression frameworks.
  • Analyze learner feedback, support ticket patterns, product telemetry, and performance data to identify training gaps, prioritize content updates, and recommend changes to product documentation or onboarding flows.
  • Localize and adapt training content for global audiences, coordinating translation, cultural localization, and regional instructor sourcing to ensure relevancy and compliance.
  • Maintain compliance training and role-specific regulatory requirements for technical staff where applicable, ensuring records are auditable within the LMS.
  • Facilitate cross-functional workshops with Customer Success, Sales Engineering, QA, and Product to validate training accuracy and align training outcomes with go-to-market and product release roadmaps.
  • Create and maintain interactive hands-on lab environments (cloud sandboxes, virtual machines, containerized labs) to enable scenario-based practice and validate real-world application of technical concepts.
  • Oversee the creation of on-demand video tutorials, screencasts, and how-to guides using screen recording and editing tools; optimize videos for searchability and reusability.
  • Drive continuous improvement through A/B testing of learning interventions, rapid prototyping of microlearning experiments, and leveraging learner analytics to increase completion and transfer of learning.
  • Ensure training materials adhere to accessibility standards (WCAG) and instructional best practices to support diverse learning needs and improve learner outcomes.
  • Act as the central point of contact for training-related escalations, resolving scheduling conflicts, certification disputes, and technical access issues in partnership with IT and support teams.
  • Support launch readiness for major product releases by creating targeted enablement playbooks, release-focused training sessions for sales and support, and readiness checklists for cross-functional teams.

Education & Experience

Educational Background

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Human Resources, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Master’s degree or graduate coursework in Instructional Design, Learning Sciences, Organizational Development, or Technical Communication.
