Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Design, develop, and deliver engaging and effective technology training programs for employees at all levels, utilizing a blend of instructional techniques including instructor-led (ILT), virtual instructor-led (VILT), e-learning modules, and workshops.
- Conduct comprehensive training needs assessments in collaboration with department heads and IT to identify knowledge gaps and define clear learning objectives for new and existing technologies.
- Create, update, and maintain a robust library of high-quality training materials, including facilitator guides, participant workbooks, presentation decks, quick-reference guides, and video tutorials.
- Master the functionality of our core business applications (e.g., Microsoft 365, CRM, ERP, proprietary software) to serve as the go-to subject matter expert for end-users.
- Deliver tailored, hands-on training sessions for new hire orientations, ensuring a smooth and effective technology onboarding experience for all new employees.
- Administer and manage our Learning Management System (LMS), including course creation, user enrollment, session scheduling, tracking completion rates, and reporting on training effectiveness.
- Develop and implement strategies to promote user adoption of new software and features, working closely with project and change management teams during technology rollouts.
- Provide post-training support, including one-on-one coaching, floor support, and office hours to reinforce learning and address individual user challenges.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and materials through feedback surveys, knowledge assessments, and performance metrics, iterating on content to ensure continuous improvement.
- Stay current with the latest trends in corporate training, adult learning principles, and instructional technologies to bring innovative learning solutions to the organization.
- Customize training content to be relevant for diverse audiences across various departments, from sales and marketing to finance and operations.
- Collaborate with the IT department to understand upcoming system changes, updates, and rollouts, proactively developing training plans to support these initiatives.
- Facilitate "train-the-trainer" sessions to empower departmental super-users and managers to cascade learning within their own teams.
- Produce and edit screencasts and short-form video content for just-in-time learning and microlearning modules.
- Manage the logistics of training delivery, including scheduling, room booking (for in-person), virtual meeting setup, and communication with participants.
- Partner with vendors to understand third-party software and effectively translate their training content for our internal environment and business processes.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge base, authoring articles, FAQs, and how-to guides that empower employees to find answers independently.
- Act as a key resource during User Acceptance Testing (UAT), providing insights on system usability and potential training needs before a system goes live.
- Create and manage a training calendar that aligns with business priorities, software release schedules, and employee development goals.
- Report on key training metrics and KPIs to leadership, demonstrating the value and impact of technology training initiatives on business outcomes like productivity and efficiency.
