Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Conduct comprehensive monthly and quarterly audits of all telecommunications invoices (wireline, wireless, data, conferencing) to ensure billing accuracy and adherence to contractual rates.
- Meticulously identify, document, and pursue billing discrepancies with carriers, managing disputes from initiation through to credit resolution and recovery.
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle for Moves, Adds, Changes, and Disconnects (MACD) for all telecom services, ensuring timely execution and minimal disruption to business operations.
- Oversee the procurement process for new telecom services, which includes gathering requirements from business units, issuing RFQs, analyzing proposals, and placing orders with vendors.
- Maintain a highly accurate and detailed inventory of all telecommunication assets, including circuits, mobile devices, phone lines, and associated hardware, using Telecom Expense Management (TEM) software.
- Develop and generate detailed monthly reports on telecom spending, usage trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for IT leadership and financial stakeholders.
- Actively analyze service usage patterns and contractual terms to identify and recommend concrete cost-saving and optimization opportunities across the enterprise.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for resolving complex, escalated service issues with telecom carriers, ensuring adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Administer the corporate mobile device program, including device procurement, deployment, policy enforcement, and management through Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms.
- Assist in the negotiation and renewal of carrier contracts, providing data-backed analysis to support favorable terms and pricing for the organization.
- Process and code all telecom-related invoices, ensuring correct allocation to the appropriate general ledger accounts and cost centers in collaboration with the Accounts Payable team.
- Manage the complex process of Local Number Portability (LNP), coordinating with carriers and internal teams to seamlessly port numbers without service interruption.
- Provide second or third-level support to end-users and internal IT teams for issues related to telecom services, including desk phones, mobile devices, and connectivity problems.
- Create and maintain thorough documentation for all telecom processes, circuit information, vendor contacts, and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with network engineering teams on projects involving the implementation of new technologies like SD-WAN, SIP trunking, or Unified Communications platforms.
