Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions

- Apply evidence-based treatment progression: set measurable short- and long-term goals, sequence interventions (warm-up, targeted work, stretching, home-care exercises), and adjust techniques based on client response and clinical outcomes.
- Provide targeted pain management and rehabilitation-focused treatments for acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions (neck/back pain, sciatica, rotator cuff injuries, tendonitis), coordinating care plans with physical therapists, chiropractors, and referring physicians when appropriate.
- Maintain accurate, timely SOAP notes and electronic medical records (EMR), documenting assessment findings, interventions performed, client progress, contraindications, informed consent, and recommended follow-up to support continuity of care and billing.

- Adhere to state licensing regulations, scope of practice, and HIPAA/confidentiality standards in all client interactions, recordkeeping, and communications.
- Participate in intake and discharge planning for clients receiving multiple sessions; evaluate outcomes and recommend ongoing treatment frequency, maintenance sessions, or discharge when goals have been met.
- Perform adjunctive modalities when credentialed and within clinic scope—cupping, instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM), hot stone therapy, aromatherapy, kinesiology taping—ensuring informed consent and proper technique.
- Assist in clinical triage and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create coordinated care plans, provide progress updates, and contribute to case conferences for complex clients.
- Promote and sell appropriate retail products, therapeutic tools, and homecare aids in a professional, non-coercive manner aligned with client care plans and clinic policies.
