Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Actively manage and cultivate a dedicated book of client accounts, serving as their primary advisor for all trading and investment activities.
  • Execute buy and sell orders for a wide array of securities—including equities, options, fixed income, and commodities—ensuring optimal pricing and timely settlement.
  • Conduct comprehensive financial needs analyses and risk tolerance assessments to build and propose customized investment strategies for individual and institutional clients.
  • Proactively monitor global financial markets, economic news, and geopolitical events to identify potential risks and uncover unique investment opportunities for your clients.
  • Provide clients with clear, insightful market commentary and articulate compelling investment ideas and rationales tailored to their specific portfolios.
  • Develop new business by prospecting, networking, and leveraging referrals to continuously expand your client base and assets under management (AUM).
  • Maintain a deep, evolving knowledge of all investment products and services offered by the firm to provide holistic financial solutions.
  • Construct and present detailed portfolio performance reviews to clients on a regular basis, explaining results and recommending strategic adjustments.
  • Ensure all trading activities and client communications strictly adhere to industry regulations and internal compliance policies, including FINRA and SEC guidelines.
  • Educate clients on complex financial instruments, trading strategies, and the functionalities of the firm’s trading platforms.
  • Collaborate closely with research analysts and portfolio managers to integrate firm-wide market views and investment themes into client recommendations.
  • Respond with urgency and accuracy to all client inquiries, from simple account questions to complex trade-related problem-solving.
  • Utilize advanced financial software and trading terminals (like Bloomberg, Reuters) to analyze data, track portfolios, and execute transactions efficiently.
  • Manage client margin accounts, including monitoring margin calls and communicating requirements clearly and promptly.
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations to prospective clients, showcasing the firm's value proposition and your personal expertise.
  • Stay current with continuing education requirements to maintain all necessary licenses and certifications (e.g., Series 7, 63/66).
  • Guide clients through the account opening process, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal support teams (operations, compliance, technology) to ensure a seamless client experience.
  • Assess and explain the tax implications of various investment decisions and transactions in coordination with clients' tax advisors.
  • Participate in and contribute to regular sales and market strategy meetings, sharing insights and best practices with the broader team.

  • Mastery of financial trading platforms and analytical tools (e.g., Bloomberg Terminal, FactSet, Thomson Reuters Eikon).

  • Thorough understanding of securities industry regulations, including FINRA, SEC, and AML compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and portfolio construction techniques.

Education & Experience

Educational Background

Minimum Education:

Typical Experience Range:
