Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Conduct comprehensive training needs analyses (TNA) across various departments by partnering with leaders and staff to accurately identify knowledge gaps and define learning objectives.
  • Design and develop dynamic and engaging training curricula and materials for a variety of delivery methods, including instructor-led training (ILT), virtual instructor-led training (VILT), e-learning modules, and blended learning journeys.
  • Create a full suite of high-quality training assets, such as facilitator guides, participant workbooks, job aids, presentation decks, case studies, and interactive online resources.
  • Facilitate energetic and impactful training sessions for diverse audiences, from new hire orientation to leadership development workshops, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Act as a project manager for the entire training lifecycle, from initial ideation and stakeholder consultation through to program delivery, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
  • Administer and maintain the organization's Learning Management System (LMS), including uploading courses, managing user enrollments, tracking completion data, and generating insightful reports.
  • Collaborate closely with internal Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to extract and translate complex technical or business-specific information into clear, concise, and easily digestible learning content.
  • Develop and implement robust evaluation strategies, using models like Kirkpatrick's Four Levels, to measure training effectiveness, knowledge transfer, behavioral change, and business impact (ROI).
  • Stay at the forefront of the learning and development industry by researching and integrating new training techniques, adult learning principles, and innovative educational technologies.
  • Design, implement, and continuously refine a comprehensive onboarding program to accelerate new employee ramp-up time and effectively integrate them into the company culture.
  • Provide targeted one-on-one coaching and small group mentoring to reinforce key learning concepts and support individual employee development plans.
  • Manage all logistical aspects of training coordination, including scheduling sessions, booking venues (physical or virtual), preparing materials, and managing participant communications.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners and department heads to ensure all training initiatives are strategically aligned with broader business objectives and performance management cycles.
  • Utilize industry-standard e-learning authoring tools like Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or Vyond to create compelling and interactive self-paced online courses.
  • Develop and manage the annual training budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and optimal allocation of resources while tracking expenditures.
  • Design and execute post-training reinforcement activities, such as follow-up workshops, microlearning content, and coaching, to enhance knowledge retention and on-the-job application.
  • Create and manage strategic communication plans to effectively market training programs, drive employee engagement, and build excitement for learning opportunities.
  • Analyze training data and feedback to generate detailed reports and dashboards for leadership, highlighting key trends, program successes, and areas for strategic improvement.
  • Adapt existing training materials and delivery styles to meet the unique needs of a global, remote, or culturally diverse workforce.
  • Lead the facilitation of management and leadership development programs designed to build a strong, capable leadership pipeline within the organization.
  • Manage relationships with external training vendors and consultants, from selection and negotiation to performance evaluation, to supplement internal L&D capabilities.
  • Support the rollout and tracking of mandatory compliance training, ensuring the organization meets all regulatory requirements in areas like safety, ethics, and data privacy.

Education & Experience

Educational Background

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college.

  • Professional certification in training, coaching, or instructional design (e.g., CPTD, CPLP, ATD certifications).
