Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Develop and execute strategic recruitment plans within an assigned territory to identify, prospect, and secure new blood drive sponsor groups, including corporations, schools, faith-based groups, and community organizations.
- Cultivate, nurture, and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing blood drive coordinators and sponsor organizations to ensure high retention rates and foster loyalty.
- Serve as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for blood drive coordinators, providing exceptional, consultative support and guidance throughout the entire planning and execution process.
- Conduct persuasive and engaging presentations and educational sessions for potential sponsor groups and donors to effectively articulate the critical need for blood donations and the mission of the organization.
- Manage all logistical aspects of mobile blood drives, including detailed site assessments, scheduling, resource allocation, and pre-drive communication to ensure a smooth, efficient, and safe event for all.
- Collaborate closely with the Marketing and Communications teams to develop and distribute effective promotional materials, leveraging social media, local press, and internal communications to maximize donor turnout.
- Provide comprehensive on-site support during select blood drives, assisting with donor flow management, addressing coordinator and donor concerns, and ensuring a positive overall experience.
- Analyze collection data, donor demographics, and market trends to identify opportunities for growth, optimize drive schedules, and accurately forecast collection volumes for the territory.
- Maintain meticulously accurate and up-to-date records of all recruitment activities, drive schedules, contact information, and collection results within the organization's CRM system (e.g., Salesforce).
- Skillfully handle and resolve any issues, complaints, or concerns raised by drive coordinators or donors in a timely, empathetic, and professional manner, escalating complex problems as necessary.
- Train, coach, and mentor new blood drive coordinators, equipping them with the tools, resources, and best practices needed to host highly successful and impactful blood drives.
- Work in close partnership with Collections, Logistics, and Transportation teams to coordinate appropriate staffing and resources for all mobile blood drives, ensuring operational alignment.
- Act as a knowledgeable and passionate brand representative at community events, health fairs, chamber of commerce meetings, and networking functions to promote blood donation awareness.
- Prepare and present regular, detailed performance reports to management, outlining recruitment efforts, collection outcomes, challenges, and progress toward territory goals.
- Conduct thorough post-drive follow-up with sponsors to gather valuable feedback, communicate the positive impact of their efforts, and secure commitment for future drives.
- Manage an assigned budget for recruitment and promotional activities, ensuring the responsible and efficient use of organizational resources to maximize return on investment.
