Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Perform in-depth diagnostics and troubleshooting on a diverse range of television technologies, including LCD, LED, OLED, QLED, and Plasma displays, to accurately identify hardware and software failures.
  • Execute precise component-level repairs on intricate electronic systems, such as mainboards, power supply units (PSU), T-con boards, and LED backlights.
  • Travel to customer locations in a company-provided vehicle to conduct on-site installations, repairs, and comprehensive system calibrations.
  • Interpret complex electronic schematics, service manuals, and diagnostic flowcharts to effectively isolate faults and determine the most efficient repair strategy.
  • Meticulously disassemble and reassemble television units and related electronic equipment, ensuring the preservation of cosmetic integrity and internal component layout.
  • Utilize a wide array of specialized diagnostic tools, including digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and soldering stations, to perform advanced technical work.
  • Conduct rigorous quality assurance checks and functional testing on all repaired units to guarantee they meet or exceed original manufacturer specifications and performance benchmarks.
  • Manage and maintain a precise inventory of spare parts, components, and tools, both in the service vehicle and workshop, ensuring availability for scheduled jobs.
  • Communicate technical diagnoses, repair options, and cost estimates clearly and professionally to customers with varying levels of technical understanding.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate service records, documenting all diagnostic steps, parts used, labor time, and resolution details in the company's service management software.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot Smart TV platforms, applications, and network connectivity issues to ensure full functionality for the customer.
  • Process and manage both in-warranty and out-of-warranty repair claims, strictly adhering to manufacturer guidelines, service level agreements (SLAs), and company policies.
  • Provide expert guidance and education to customers on the proper operation, maintenance, and advanced features of their home entertainment systems to enhance their experience and prevent future issues.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, both in the field and at the primary service center, complying with all health and safety regulations.
  • Stay abreast of emerging television technologies, new product releases, and evolving repair techniques through continuous professional development and manufacturer-provided training.

Secondary Functions

  • Collaborate effectively with remote technical support teams and senior engineers to escalate and find solutions for unusually complex or recurring product failures.
  • Provide detailed and constructive feedback to manufacturers regarding product defects, failure trends, and potential areas for design or serviceability improvements.
  • Assist in the setup, installation, and maintenance of integrated audio-visual systems for commercial clients, including video walls and distributed audio systems.
  • Manage daily and weekly service schedules, coordinate appointments with customers, and optimize travel routes to maximize efficiency and on-time performance.
  • Participate actively in team meetings and technical training sessions to share knowledge, discuss challenges, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the service department.

Education & Experience

Educational Background
