  • Coach and mentor product, design, and engineering team members on collaboration best practices, handoff standards, and Agile practices tailored to UI delivery.
  • Drive stakeholder communications and regular status reporting (dashboards, executive updates, demos), ensuring transparency on scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
  • Allocate and manage resources across multiple concurrent UI projects, balancing product priorities, technical constraints, and team capacity.
  • Advocate for user-centered design principles in prioritization and trade-off discussions, ensuring usability and customer impact are prioritized alongside engineering constraints.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives for the design and development lifecycle (CI/CD for front-end, component testing, design linting) to accelerate delivery and reduce defects.
  • Lead cross-functional launch readiness activities including release checklists, rollback plans, monitoring setup, and post-launch analysis tied to UX and business metrics.
  • Build and maintain relationships with product analytics teams to ensure UI work is instrumented for measuring user behavior, funnel metrics, and adoption.
  • Coordinate localization and internationalization efforts for UI content, ensuring designs account for language expansion, layout changes, and cultural considerations.
  • Drive cost-benefit analysis for UI investments (redesigns, system refactors, performance work), present recommendations to stakeholders, and secure necessary funding.
  • Champion and implement governance for UI versioning and deprecation policies to minimize fragmentation and technical debt within components and patterns.

Secondary Functions

  • Support ad-hoc UI data requests and exploratory analysis with analytics partners to inform design trade-offs and prioritize work.
  • Contribute to the organization's UI/UX strategy and roadmap by identifying high-impact interface opportunities and technology gaps.
  • Collaborate with business units to translate customer and business needs into engineering and design requirements for UI initiatives.
  • Participate in sprint planning and Agile ceremonies within the broader product and engineering organizations to ensure UI dependencies are visible and managed.
  • Maintain and curate a central repository of UI assets, pattern libraries, and implementation guides to streamline onboarding and cross-team reuse.
  • Assist in recruiting contract designers, UI engineers, and product specialists; participate in interviews and candidate evaluations for UI-related roles.
  • Support training sessions and workshops on the design system, accessibility best practices, and design-to-development workflows.
  • Monitor industry trends in UI frameworks, accessibility, and front-end tooling and recommend adoption where it accelerates delivery or improves UX.
  • Facilitate cross-team design critiques and usability review sessions to maintain design quality and consistency across products.
