Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Own the full lifecycle of the corporate uniform program, including strategic planning, seasonality, style and SKU rationalization to optimize assortment, inventory and cost while maintaining strict brand and safety standards.
- Develop and maintain detailed product specifications, tech packs, grade rules and fit protocols; lead size sets, fit sessions and guardrails for consistent fit and quality across all uniform styles and vendor partners.
- Lead sourcing and procurement strategy for uniforms and workwear, including vendor selection, RFQs/RFPs, cost modeling, landed cost analysis, total cost of ownership (TCO) and long-term supplier partnerships.
- Negotiate and manage global and domestic supplier contracts, purchase agreements and service level agreements (SLAs) to secure best-in-class price, lead-times, minimum order quantities and quality metrics.
- Create and manage annual and multi-year budgets for the uniform program, including CapEx and OpEx forecasting, cost-savings initiatives, margin protection and P&L stewardship.
- Design and execute inventory planning and replenishment strategies across warehouses, distribution centers and store/field locations to minimize stockouts and excess inventory while optimizing carrying costs.
- Implement and maintain quality assurance and inspection programs, including pre-production approvals, inline inspections, lab testing (flame resistance, colorfastness, fabric performance) and final inspections to reduce defects and returns.
- Drive product development and innovation by working with design, materials and technical teams to evaluate new fabrics, trims, sustainable materials and manufacturing technologies that improve performance and reduce cost or environmental impact.
- Own vendor performance management and scorecards (on-time delivery, quality, lead time variance, sustainability compliance), conduct vendor audits and corrective action plans to ensure continuous improvement.
- Partner with HR, operations and safety teams to define uniform policies, PPE integration, size distribution programs, and user training that maximize employee comfort, safety and brand representation.
- Lead cross-functional go-to-market planning for uniform launches and refreshes, coordinating merchandising, operations, logistics and communications for staged rollouts and field distribution.
- Oversee logistics and global distribution strategy for uniforms, including DDP/DDU terms, customs, duty optimization, freight consolidation, kitting, labeling and drop-ship workflows where applicable.
- Implement and maintain product lifecycle governance (introduction, active life, markdowns, obsolescence) and drive SKU rationalization to reduce complexity and procurement costs.
- Develop and own the uniform supplier risk mitigation plan including dual-sourcing strategies, contingency inventory, lead-time buffers and alternative manufacturing plans for geographic or capacity disruption.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards (PPE regulations, textile labeling, restricted substance lists, import/export controls) and maintain documentation for audits and certifications.
- Partner with Marketing and Brand teams to ensure uniform aesthetics, branding application, embroidery/print standards and presentation align with corporate brand guidelines and merchandising directives.
- Lead sustainability and ESG initiatives within the uniform program, including supplier compliance to social and environmental standards, sustainable material sourcing and circularity programs (repair, reuse and recycling).
- Manage cross-functional and regional teams, including vendor managers, technical designers, merchandisers, logistics coordinators and quality inspectors, and provide coaching, performance reviews and hiring as needed.
- Use data-driven KPIs and reporting (cost per garment, delivery performance, defect rate, inventory days, usage metrics) to inform strategic decisions and present program performance to senior leadership.
- Create and execute field rollout plans and reverse logistics for uniform re-issue, replacements and returns; coordinate with facilities and site leads to support fittings, sizing adjustments and on-site distribution events.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen) within the uniform supply chain to reduce lead times, improve quality, and increase operational efficiency.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and visible liaison to external partners (third-party logistics providers, distributors, fulfillment vendors) and internal stakeholders to solve complex cross-functional problems.

Educational Background
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Science, Merchandising, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
Preferred Education:
- Bachelor’s degree + relevant certifications (e.g., Supply Chain Certification, Apparel Technical Certification) or a Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business or Textile Management.
- Certifications in sustainability, CSR auditing (e.g., Sedex SMETA auditor course), Lean/Six Sigma preferred.
