- Perform end-to-end product catalog updates including SKUs, descriptions, pricing, inventory flags, images, and category assignments while ensuring consistency across marketplaces and channels.
- Validate data integrity after updates by running SQL queries or automated checks, reconciling source systems, and correcting anomalies to maintain accurate downstream reporting.
- Execute routine and emergency system updates and patches in collaboration with IT/DevOps, following change-control processes, creating rollback plans, and documenting outcomes.
- Prepare, test and deploy content and data updates in staging environments, perform acceptance testing, and coordinate promotion to production after stakeholder sign-off.
- Monitor update jobs, cron tasks, and ETL pipelines for failures or performance issues and take corrective actions (re-run jobs, escalate to engineering, or apply hotfixes) to minimize downtime.
- Implement metadata, schema, and taxonomy updates to improve searchability, filtering, and product discovery across web and mobile platforms.
- Use scripting (Python, Bash) and automation tools to accelerate repetitive update tasks, reduce manual error, and maintain runbooks for automated processes.
- Coordinate cross-functional release schedules with marketing, product, and engineering teams to ensure synchronized launches and consistency across channels.
- Review, triage, and resolve content or data exceptions from analytics, customer support, or external partners, providing clear root-cause notes and remediation steps.
- Create and maintain detailed update logs, version history, and documentation for auditability and compliance with internal governance and regulatory requirements.
- Apply accessibility (WCAG) and legal/compliance checks to content changes where applicable, ensuring all published updates meet organizational and regulatory standards.
- Tag and annotate content with SEO-focused titles, meta descriptions, structured data (schema.org), and canonical links to maximize organic search performance and reduce duplicate content.

- Manage bulk updates using CSV, APIs, or PIM exports/imports; create transformation rules and mappings to preserve data quality and lineage.
- Support migrations and data clean-up projects by executing transformation scripts, mapping legacy fields to new schemas, and validating post-migration accuracy.
- Maintain and refine checklist-driven workflows for daily, weekly, and monthly update cycles; identify improvement opportunities and propose process optimizations.
- Provide hands-on support for release day operations including surge updates, rapid content corrections, and rollback coordination under tight SLAs.
- Train and onboard junior updaters or cross-functional contributors on the update process, CMS/PIM usage, and quality standards; create quick reference guides and templates.
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for update success rate, defect counts, time-to-publish, and throughput to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Collaborate with analytics to instrument and verify tracking tags, event data, and conversion pixels associated with updated pages or products to ensure accurate measurement.
- Troubleshoot content rendering, broken links, template regressions, and data mapping issues; reproduce defects, log detailed tickets, and verify fixes once implemented.
- Enforce content governance policies by validating editorial standards, ownership, and expiry rules to prevent stale, misleading, or non-compliant content from going live.
- Maintain inventory of assets and digital collateral used during updates (images, downloads, PDFs) and coordinate with creative teams to remediate missing or poor-quality assets.
