Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Senior UX Designers to translate product requirements and business goals into user-centered design tasks, user flows, and prioritized feature backlogs.
- Assist with planning, coordinating and conducting qualitative user research (interviews, contextual inquiries, diary studies) to surface real user needs and pain points that inform feature definition.
- Design and iterate wireframes, interactive prototypes and high-fidelity mockups using tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD or similar, ensuring deliverables are ready for stakeholder review and user testing.
- Support usability testing sessions end-to-end: recruit participants, prepare test scripts, moderate sessions, document findings, and synthesize actionable recommendations for product teams.
- Create and maintain design documentation including user journeys, annotated wireframes, pattern libraries, and component specifications that developers and designers can implement consistently.
- Translate user research findings and usability test results into prioritized insights, clear problem statements, and actionable design recommendations that influence the product roadmap.
- Work with analytics and data teams to define and monitor UX metrics and KPIs (e.g., task success rate, time-on-task, conversion funnels, retention) to evaluate the performance of UX improvements.
- Support A/B and multivariate testing by helping to design test variants, defining hypotheses, and coordinating with engineering and analytics to validate UX changes.
- Participate in agile ceremonies (planning, standups, sprint reviews), manage tasks in Jira or similar ticketing systems, and ensure delivery of UX assets on sprint cadence.
- Prepare polished deliverables and presentations for cross-functional stakeholders and leadership, communicating design rationale, user impact, and trade-offs succinctly.
- Assist engineers during implementation by providing assets, clarifications, and QA support to ensure final product aligns with intended user experience and design specifications.
- Maintain and evolve design systems or component libraries by documenting usage patterns, accessibility guidelines, and responsive rules to improve design-to-code consistency.
- Help synthesize user feedback from support tickets, NPS comments, app store reviews, and social channels into prioritized product improvements and bug reports.
- Conduct competitive and market analysis to benchmark user experience patterns, identify opportunities and propose features that strengthen product differentiation.
- Support content and microcopy efforts to ensure UI text is clear, on-brand, and optimized for task completion and conversion.
- Map and maintain user personas and empathy maps, ensuring product decisions remain grounded in representative user needs and scenarios.
- Create annotated handoffs and acceptance criteria for engineers, including edge cases, error states, and accessibility requirements to reduce rework.
- Assist with accessibility audits and remediation planning to ensure interfaces meet WCAG guidelines and inclusive design principles.
- Coordinate cross-functional workshops (co-creation, ideation, design sprints) to accelerate alignment, prototype solutions, and generate user-validated concepts.
- Track design debt and usability issues; collaborate with product and engineering to prioritize technical and UX debt reduction as part of roadmap grooming.
- Support localization and internationalization efforts by validating designs for multi-language layouts and cultural contexts.
- Help measure the business impact of UX initiatives by connecting user outcomes to conversion, engagement, retention and other business metrics.
- Keep current with UX best practices, emerging tools, and platform conventions to bring modern approaches and efficiency gains to the product team.
- Mentor or onboard junior interns or contractors on UX deliverables, tooling conventions and research protocols to scale team capacity.

Minimum Education:
