Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Design, plan, and independently execute complex in-vitro and in-vivo experiments to assess the immunogenicity and protective efficacy of novel vaccine candidates.
- Develop, optimize, qualify, and validate a diverse range of immunological and virological assays, including but not limited to ELISA, ELISpot, flow cytometry, neutralization assays, and PCR-based methods.
- Perform hands-on laboratory work involving mammalian cell culture, aseptic techniques, virus propagation, and protein/nucleic acid purification and analysis.
- Work with and handle various biological agents, including viral vectors and potentially pathogenic microorganisms, within Biosafety Level 2 (BSL-2) or higher containment facilities, adhering to all safety and compliance protocols.
- Analyze and interpret large, complex datasets from preclinical studies, utilizing statistical software and visualization tools to draw meaningful scientific conclusions.
- Prepare and present comprehensive data summaries, research findings, and project updates to internal cross-functional teams, senior leadership, and external scientific conferences.
- Author, review, and maintain meticulous laboratory notebooks, standard operating procedures (SOPs), study protocols, and detailed technical reports in compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
- Contribute significantly to the writing and preparation of documents for regulatory submissions, such as Investigational New Drug (IND) applications and Biologics License Applications (BLA).
- Stay current with cutting-edge scientific literature, emerging technologies, and competitor landscapes in vaccine development to propose innovative research directions and strategies.

- Manage and coordinate research activities with external partners, including contract research organizations (CROs) and academic collaborators, to ensure project milestones are met.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with experimental protocols and scientific instrumentation to ensure data quality and integrity.
