Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

Lead client-facing workshops and discovery sessions to meticulously gather, analyze, and document complex business requirements for various Veeva Vault applications such as RIM, QMS, or eTMF.
Design and architect scalable, compliant, and efficient solutions within the Veeva Vault platform, ensuring the proposed design aligns perfectly with client business processes and industry best practices.
Perform hands-on, advanced configuration of the Veeva Vault platform, including the intricate setup of document types, object models, custom lifecycles, complex workflows, dynamic access control, and reporting dashboards.
Act as the primary subject matter expert for a specific Vault application area (e.g., Vault RIM Suite, Vault Quality Suite, Vault Clinical Operations), guiding clients on its capabilities and limitations.
Develop and execute comprehensive data and content migration strategies to move legacy information from disparate systems into Veeva Vault, overseeing data mapping, cleansing, and verification activities.
Author and manage the creation of critical computer system validation (CSV) documentation, including User Requirements Specifications (URS), Functional and Configuration Specifications (FS/CS), and test scripts to ensure GxP compliance.
Serve as the key liaison between client business stakeholders and technical development teams, adeptly translating functional needs into technical specifications and explaining technical concepts in business terms.
Plan, coordinate, and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles, providing clear guidance to business testers, triaging issues, and managing the defect resolution process through to completion.
Create and deliver customized end-user training programs and develop high-quality supporting materials (such as quick reference guides and process manuals) to drive system adoption and user proficiency.
Manage project scope, timelines, and deliverables for your workstream, proactively identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies to ensure project milestones are met.
Provide expert post-go-live support, assisting clients with issue resolution, system optimization, and planning for future enhancements and release cycles.
Advise clients on governance models and best practices for managing their Vault application, ensuring long-term success and scalability.
Develop and present solution demonstrations and prototypes to stakeholders at all levels, effectively communicating the value and functionality of the proposed design.
Stay current with the latest Veeva Vault releases, features, and industry trends, providing proactive recommendations and insights to clients.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior consultants, sharing knowledge of the Veeva platform, consulting methodologies, and the life sciences industry.
Support pre-sales activities by contributing to the development of proposals, statements of work (SOWs), and solution presentations for prospective clients.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

Veeva Vault Configuration: Expert-level ability to configure all core platform components, including document types, objects, lifecycles, workflows, security models, and reporting.
Veeva Vault Application Expertise: Deep, hands-on experience in at least one major Vault suite, such as RIM (Submissions, Registrations), Quality (QMS, Docs), Clinical (eTMF, CTMS), or Commercial (PromoMats).
Computer System Validation (CSV): Thorough understanding of GxP regulations, 21 CFR Part 11, and Annex 11, with experience executing validation protocols (IQ, OQ, PQ).
