Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Directly supervise, train, and mentor a team of vault tellers and cash processors, managing schedules, assigning duties, and conducting regular performance evaluations to foster a productive and secure work environment.
- Oversee the end-to-end processing of all incoming and outgoing currency and valuable shipments, ensuring meticulous verification, counting, and documentation for every transaction.

- Manage and maintain the vault's inventory with precision, conducting regular audits and cycle counts to ensure balances are accurate and discrepancies are investigated and resolved promptly.
- Prepare and consolidate detailed operational reports, including daily balance sheets, transaction logs, and employee productivity metrics, for senior management review.
- Act as the primary point of contact for resolving operational issues, customer discrepancies, and exceptions, coordinating with client services and transportation departments as needed.
- Ensure the operational readiness of all vault equipment, including currency counters, sorters, and scanners, by scheduling routine maintenance and troubleshooting malfunctions.
- Champion a culture of safety and security, conducting regular team briefings on security updates, best practices, and emergency response procedures.
- Manage the receipt and processing of customer deposits, ensuring funds are credited accurately and prepared for banking in a timely manner.
- Oversee the fulfillment of customer change orders, ensuring orders are prepared accurately, balanced, and securely packaged for dispatch.
- Maintain comprehensive and confidential records of all vault activities, ensuring compliance with company policies, federal regulations (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act), and client-specific requirements.
- Coordinate closely with the armored transportation team to ensure the secure and timely handover of liabilities for both inbound and outbound shipments.
- Investigate any out-of-balance conditions or transaction errors thoroughly, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Facilitate internal and external audits by providing required documentation, explaining processes, and ensuring the vault is audit-ready at all times.
- Develop and refine vault operating procedures to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and security, communicating and training staff on any changes.
- Monitor and manage workflow within the vault to meet strict processing deadlines and service level agreements (SLAs) for all clients.
