Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Engage with prospective and existing clients in a warm, professional, and welcoming manner to initiate the consultative process.
- Conduct in-depth needs assessments by employing active listening and strategic questioning to fully understand a client's driving habits, lifestyle requirements, and financial parameters.
- Develop and maintain an encyclopedic knowledge of the entire vehicle lineup, including models, trims, features, technology, and competitive advantages.

- Facilitate and accompany clients on test drives, demonstrating vehicle performance and technology while ensuring a safe, comfortable, and engaging experience.
- Master and diligently utilize the dealership's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to meticulously log all client interactions, manage follow-up schedules, and track the sales pipeline.
- Proactively generate a robust pipeline of new business through consistent prospecting, personal networking, community involvement, and soliciting client referrals.
- Skillfully guide clients through every stage of the purchasing process, from initial inquiry to final delivery, ensuring a transparent, seamless, and positive journey.
- Clearly articulate and explain complex financing and leasing options, as well as extended service contracts and other protection packages, to help clients make informed decisions.
- Structure and present clear, compelling purchase proposals, negotiate terms in a fair and transparent manner, and adeptly handle objections to reach a mutual agreement.
- Collaborate effectively with Sales Managers and the Finance department to structure deals that are advantageous for both the client and the dealership.
- Coordinate with the Service and Detail departments to ensure every sold vehicle is flawlessly prepared, inspected, and ready for its new owner on the promised delivery date.
- Execute a memorable and thorough vehicle delivery experience, educating the new owner on their vehicle's operation, technology, and maintenance schedule to ensure their confidence and satisfaction.
- Implement a long-term follow-up strategy for all sold and unsold clients to foster loyalty, encourage repeat business, and generate a steady stream of referrals.
- Actively participate in and complete all required manufacturer and dealership training to stay current on new products, industry trends, and sales techniques.
- Consistently meet or exceed established dealership goals and key performance indicators (KPIs), including sales volume, gross profit, and customer satisfaction index (CSI) scores.
- Uphold the highest standards of professional ethics and maintain full compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing automotive sales.
- Assist clients with the trade-in process by gathering accurate vehicle information and coordinating with the used car management team to secure a fair appraisal.
- Take ownership of the showroom and lot presentation, ensuring a clean, organized, and appealing environment that reflects the brand's quality standards.
- Serve as a passionate brand ambassador, representing the dealership and its automotive brands with integrity and professionalism in every interaction, both online and in-person.
