Primary Functions
- Develop and implement a comprehensive, forward-thinking vendor management strategy that aligns with the company's long-term business goals and financial targets.
- Lead the full lifecycle of strategic sourcing initiatives, including market analysis, vendor identification, Request for Proposal (RFP) development, and supplier selection to secure optimal value.
- Oversee and direct complex contract negotiations, renewals, and amendments with critical vendors, ensuring favorable terms, risk mitigation, and compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Establish and enforce robust vendor performance management frameworks, defining key performance indicators (KPIs), service level agreements (SLAs), and scorecards to continuously monitor and improve supplier performance.
- Cultivate and maintain executive-level strategic relationships with key suppliers to foster partnership, drive innovation, and unlock long-term value beyond transactional interactions.
- Direct the organization's vendor risk management program, proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential risks related to financial stability, cybersecurity, operational continuity, and compliance.
- Champion cost optimization and savings initiatives across the vendor portfolio through strategic negotiations, demand management, process improvements, and identification of consolidation opportunities.
