Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

Conduct comprehensive patient intake and triage, accurately obtaining patient history, recording vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, pain score), and communicating urgent findings to the veterinarian.

Execute comprehensive dental prophylactic procedures, including supra- and subgingival scaling, polishing, dental charting, and capturing high-quality dental radiographs.
Operate and maintain various in-house laboratory equipment to perform diagnostic tests such as hematology (CBC), blood chemistry panels, urinalysis, and cytology.
Capture diagnostic-quality digital radiographs, ensuring proper patient positioning, technique, and adherence to radiation safety protocols for all personnel.
Accurately calculate, dispense, and administer medications, treatments, and vaccinations as prescribed by the veterinarian, ensuring a clear understanding of pharmacology and potential side effects.
Provide intensive nursing care for hospitalized patients, including administering treatments, managing fluid therapy, monitoring condition, and maintaining detailed treatment records.

Educational Background

Minimum Education:

Active state licensure as a Registered (RVT), Licensed (LVT), or Certified (CVT) Veterinary Technician in good standing.
