Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

Perform comprehensive physical examinations on a diverse range of companion animals to assess their health and detect abnormalities.

Educational Background

Minimum Education:

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or Veterinariae Medicinae Doctoris (VMD) from an AVMA-accredited university.
Possession of a valid and active state license to practice veterinary medicine, or the ability to obtain one.
DEA licensure for the handling of controlled substances.

Preferred Education:

Completion of a one-year rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery.
