Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Direct and oversee all financial operations of the practice, including budgeting, forecasting, and detailed profit and loss (P&L) statement analysis to ensure financial health and drive profitability.
  • Manage the complete employee lifecycle, from recruiting and interviewing to hiring, onboarding, and comprehensive training for all non-veterinarian staff.

  • Oversee inventory management processes, including ordering, receiving, and managing stock levels of pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, and pet food to minimize waste and ensure availability.
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to identify trends, measure practice performance, and implement strategic initiatives for growth and improvement.
  • Develop and enforce clinic-wide policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA, DEA, and labor laws.
