Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Conceptualize, storyboard, and script compelling video-based training modules that align with specific learning objectives and adult learning principles.
  • Manage the end-to-end video production process, including pre-production planning, on-location or studio filming, and remote recording sessions with subject matter experts.
  • Perform all aspects of post-production, including video editing, color correction, audio mixing, and the creation of motion graphics, titles, and other visual enhancements.
  • Collaborate closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), instructional designers, and stakeholders to distill complex technical or business concepts into easily understandable video content.
  • Design and develop a variety of video-based learning assets, including software tutorials, talking-head expert interviews, process demonstrations, and animated explainers.
  • Adapt and repurpose existing training materials (e.g., presentations, documents) into engaging video formats suitable for micro-learning and on-demand access.
  • Host and facilitate live virtual training sessions, webinars, and workshops, leveraging video and interactive tools to maximize learner engagement.
  • Ensure all video content adheres to company branding guidelines, quality standards, and accessibility (WCAG) best practices.
  • Manage, organize, and maintain the organization's library of video training assets within the Learning Management System (LMS) or other content repositories.
  • Develop and implement assessment strategies, such as quizzes and interactive video elements, to measure learning effectiveness and knowledge retention.
  • Stay current with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in video production, e-learning, and instructional design to continuously innovate training delivery.
  • Coach and mentor SMEs and other team members on best practices for on-camera presentation and effective virtual communication.
  • Create and manage production schedules, budgets, and resource allocation for multiple video projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Analyze learner feedback, engagement metrics, and performance data to evaluate the impact of video training and identify areas for improvement.

Secondary Functions

  • Support the wider L&D team in developing blended learning programs that incorporate video as a key component.
  • Assist in the administration and technical support of the Learning Management System (LMS), specifically regarding video content hosting and performance.
  • Create short-form video content for internal communications, employee engagement initiatives, and company announcements.
  • Provide technical guidance and support for video conferencing and live-streaming of company-wide events or town halls.
  • Develop supporting materials and job aids, such as downloadable guides, checklists, and transcripts, to complement video training.
  • Participate in the selection and implementation of new video production software, hardware, and learning technologies.
  • Contribute to building a strong learning culture by promoting video resources and encouraging self-directed professional development.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • Video Editing & Post-Production: Advanced proficiency in professional non-linear editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
  • Motion Graphics: Expertise in creating animated titles, lower thirds, and explainers using software like Adobe After Effects.
  • Instructional Design: Solid understanding of adult learning theories (e.g., Andragogy) and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) to create effective learning experiences.
  • Screen Recording & Authoring Tools: High proficiency with tools like Camtasia, Articulate 360 (including Storyline and Rise), or Adobe Captivate for creating software simulations and interactive e-learning.

Education & Experience

Educational Background

Minimum Education:
