Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Supervise the entire video production lifecycle, from pre-production planning and storyboarding through on-set execution, post-production, and final asset delivery.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of videographers, editors, and production assistants, providing clear direction, constructive feedback, and professional growth opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive production schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans to ensure all projects are delivered on time and within financial constraints.
  • Collaborate closely with creative directors, marketing teams, and other key stakeholders to understand project goals and translate creative briefs into compelling, on-brand video content.
  • Oversee the quality control process for all video assets, ensuring they meet brand guidelines, technical specifications, and the highest creative standards before distribution.
  • Direct on-set activities, ensuring the creative vision is executed effectively, and that the production runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently.
  • Lead and refine the post-production workflow, including video editing, color grading, sound design, motion graphics, and visual effects, to maximize efficiency and creative output.
  • Review and approve rough cuts, fine cuts, and final edits, providing precise and actionable feedback to the post-production team to align the final product with project objectives.
  • Manage and vet external vendors, freelancers, and production partners, including negotiating contracts, overseeing their work, and ensuring seamless integration with the in-house team.
  • Maintain and manage all in-house video production equipment, including cameras, lighting, audio gear, and editing suites, making recommendations for new technology and upgrades.
  • Implement and manage a robust digital asset management (DAM) system for organizing, archiving, and retrieving all video footage and final project files.
  • Lead creative brainstorming sessions and workshops to generate new video concepts, series ideas, and innovative storytelling approaches that align with overarching brand and marketing goals.
  • Ensure all productions adhere to legal and compliance standards, including securing location permits, talent releases, music licensing, and other necessary clearances.

Secondary Functions

  • Stay current with the latest video production trends, social media platform specifications, and emerging technologies, introducing innovative techniques and tools to the team.
  • Provide clear and consistent communication to all project stakeholders, delivering regular status updates and proactively managing expectations throughout the production process.
  • Analyze video performance metrics and audience engagement data in partnership with the marketing analytics team to inform future content strategy and optimize production approaches.
  • Establish and enforce safety protocols on all sets and production locations to ensure a secure and professional environment for all cast and crew.
  • Troubleshoot technical, logistical, and creative issues that arise during production and post-production, providing swift and effective solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Support the creation of creative briefs, scripts, and shot lists in partnership with writers and creative leads to establish a clear narrative and visual direction.
  • Oversee the logistics of video shoots, including location scouting, casting, crew booking, travel arrangements, and equipment transport.
  • Facilitate the localization and versioning of video content for different international markets and platforms, ensuring cultural and technical appropriateness.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive team culture that encourages creativity, innovation, and a commitment to excellence.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • Advanced Video Editing: Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, with strong skills in Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
  • Post-Production Software: Deep knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, particularly After Effects for motion graphics and Audition for audio mixing.
  • Color Grading: Strong understanding of color theory and proficiency in color correction/grading using tools like DaVinci Resolve or Lumetri Color.
  • Cinematography & Lighting: In-depth knowledge of camera operation (DSLR, mirrorless, cinema cameras), lenses, composition, and professional lighting techniques for studio and field environments.
  • Audio Engineering: Expertise in location sound recording, audio mixing, and sound design to ensure high-quality audio in all productions.

Educational Background

Minimum Education:
