Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Conceptualize, script, shoot, and edit high-quality video content for various platforms, including marketing campaigns, social media, websites, and internal communications.
  • Design and create a wide range of digital and print assets, such as social media graphics, infographics, web banners, email templates, presentations, and brochures.
  • Manage the entire visual content lifecycle, from ideation and storyboarding to post-production, delivery, and archival.
  • Develop and maintain a consistent visual brand identity across all channels, ensuring all content adheres to brand guidelines and quality standards.
  • Conduct photo and video shoots, including planning, location scouting, equipment setup, directing subjects, and capturing high-quality footage and stills.
  • Perform advanced post-production tasks, including color correction, audio mixing, motion graphics, and visual effects to enhance the final product.
  • Lead the creative direction for visual projects, translating marketing strategies and campaign briefs into compelling visual narratives.
  • Manage and organize our digital asset management (DAM) system, ensuring all visual content is properly tagged, cataloged, and easily accessible.
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends, tools, and best practices in visual content creation, video production, graphic design, and social media.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing, social media, and communications teams to ensure visual content is aligned with overall campaign goals and messaging.
  • Create engaging animations and motion graphics to simplify complex topics and enhance storytelling in video and web content.
  • Adapt and optimize visual content for different platforms and formats, understanding the unique specifications and audience behaviors of each (e.g., Instagram Reels, YouTube, LinkedIn).
  • Source and manage external creative resources, such as freelance photographers, videographers, and illustrators, when necessary.
  • Develop and maintain a content calendar specifically for visual assets, ensuring a steady stream of engaging content for all channels.
  • Analyze the performance of visual content using analytics tools, providing insights and recommendations for future content strategies.
  • Capture compelling photography of company events, products, and employee culture for use in internal and external communications.
  • Manage all aspects of in-house studio and equipment, including maintenance, inventory, and recommendations for new gear.
  • Repurpose and resize existing creative assets for different channels and marketing needs, maximizing content value.
  • Ensure all visual content is accessible, incorporating best practices for subtitles, alt-text, and other accessibility standards.
  • Develop creative concepts and storyboards for new projects, presenting ideas clearly to stakeholders for approval.

Secondary Functions

  • Provide creative input and visual expertise during brainstorming and strategic planning sessions for marketing campaigns.
  • Support the web team by creating and optimizing visual assets for the company website to improve user experience and engagement.
  • Train and guide other team members on basic design principles and brand guidelines to ensure consistency across the organization.
  • Manage visual content production budgets, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within financial constraints.
  • Conduct regular audits of existing visual content to identify opportunities for updates, repurposing, or removal.
  • Collaborate with the product team to create visual materials for product launches, including demo videos and feature graphics.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • High proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Expertise in video production, including camera operation (DSLR/Mirrorless), lighting principles, and professional audio recording.
  • Strong graphic design skills with a solid understanding of typography, color theory, and layout composition.
  • Experience creating motion graphics and 2D animations to enhance video content.
  • Knowledge of Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems and best practices for content organization.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress for web asset implementation.
