Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
A Visual Content Specialist's day is dynamic and project-driven. The primary responsibilities are centered on the hands-on creation and management of visual assets.
- Conceptualize, design, and produce a wide range of digital and print assets, including social media graphics, web banners, email templates, infographics, and presentations.
- Film, edit, and produce high-quality short-form and long-form video content for various platforms like YouTube, TikTok, Instagram Reels, and corporate websites.
- Develop and execute original visual concepts that effectively communicate marketing messages and drive engagement for campaigns and product launches.
- Act as a brand steward, ensuring all visual content is consistent with brand identity, guidelines, and messaging across all internal and external channels.
- Collaborate closely with the marketing, content, and social media teams to brainstorm and develop visual storytelling that supports their respective goals.
- Manage the entire visual production lifecycle, from storyboarding and scripting to shooting/designing, editing, and final delivery.
- Create and maintain a library of reusable design templates and assets to streamline content creation for the broader team.
- Perform photo editing, color correction, and retouching to ensure a high-quality, professional finish on all photographic assets.
- Design compelling marketing and sales collateral, such as brochures, case studies, white papers, and event materials.
- Develop engaging motion graphics, GIFs, and other animated assets to enhance digital content and capture audience attention.
- Stay relentlessly up-to-date with the latest design trends, social media formats, video techniques, and industry software to keep our brand looking fresh and relevant.
- Translate complex data and abstract concepts into easily digestible and visually appealing infographics and data visualizations.
- Manage and organize our digital asset management (DAM) system to ensure all visual assets are properly tagged, archived, and accessible.
- Optimize all visual content for optimal performance across different channels, considering specifications for image sizes, file types, and video formats.
- Work with copywriters and content strategists to create a harmonious blend of visual and written narrative.
- Plan and occasionally direct photo and video shoots, including scouting locations, coordinating with subjects, and managing equipment.
- Design visually impactful landing pages and microsites in collaboration with the web development team.
