Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Develop, implement, and oversee the company's overall visual merchandising strategy to ensure a consistent and elevated brand experience across all stores.
- Conceptualize, design, and execute compelling and brand-aligned window displays and in-store installations that attract customers, drive foot traffic, and communicate key seasonal stories and product launches.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of in-store visual merchandisers, providing clear direction, constructive feedback, and ongoing training to foster growth and ensure high-quality execution.
- Create and distribute detailed visual merchandising directives, guidelines, and planograms to store teams, ensuring clarity and consistent implementation of brand standards.
- Partner closely with the Buying and Planning departments to understand product assortments, key investments, and commercial priorities to strategically position merchandise and maximize sales potential.
- Manage the floor sets and seasonal changeovers, planning the entire process from concept to execution, including fixture placement, mannequin styling, and product presentation.
- Conduct regular store visits and walkthroughs with store and regional leadership to assess visual standards, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure compliance with brand guidelines.
- Analyze sales data, sell-through reports, and customer traffic patterns to measure the effectiveness of visual strategies and make data-driven decisions to optimize displays and layouts.
- Source, select, and manage the inventory of visual elements, including mannequins, fixtures, props, and lighting, ensuring all assets are well-maintained and reflect the brand's premium image.
- Stay at the forefront of industry trends, innovations in retail design, and competitor strategies, bringing fresh, creative ideas to the table to continuously evolve our in-store experience.
- Oversee the visual execution for new store openings, renovations, and special projects, ensuring they launch successfully and adhere to the established brand vision.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure a cohesive 360-degree customer experience, aligning in-store visuals with digital campaigns, social media content, and promotional events.
- Develop compelling mannequin styling that reflects current trends, showcases key looks, and inspires customers to build outfits and increase their basket size.
- Adapt and tailor global or corporate visual directives to suit specific store layouts, architectural features, and local market nuances while maintaining core brand identity.
- Manage fixture and graphic updates, ensuring all in-store signage and visual communication are current, on-brand, and effectively guide the customer journey.
- Foster a strong understanding of the brand's target customer to create visual presentations that resonate deeply and build an emotional connection.
- Ensure all visual presentations comply with safety standards and operational guidelines without compromising creative integrity.
