Primary Functions

  • Oversee and direct all aspects of vocal performance for a roster of artists, ensuring alignment with the overarching creative direction and specific project goals.

  • Establish and enforce rigorous quality control standards for all recorded and live vocal outputs, conducting regular performance reviews and providing constructive, developmental critiques.
  • Prepare artists for high-stakes live performances, global tours, and major media appearances, which includes detailed setlist vocal planning, tailored warm-up routines, and on-site performance support.
  • Build and maintain a trusted network of elite vocal health professionals, including laryngologists and speech-language pathologists, to provide artists with premier preventative care and immediate treatment.
  • Curate, manage, and mentor a team of freelance or staff vocal coaches, strategically assigning them to artists based on stylistic fit, personality match, and specific developmental needs.
  • Create and maintain a detailed, confidential archive of artist vocal profiles, including documented range, key preferences, performance notes, recording techniques, and developmental history.
  • Advise on and approve microphone selection, recording signal chains, and vocal processing techniques to best capture and enhance the unique character of each artist's voice.
  • Mediate and skillfully resolve creative or technical disagreements related to vocal performance that may arise between artists, producers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Proactively research and stay current with emerging vocal production technologies, innovative training methodologies, and evolving music industry trends to maintain a competitive and modern approach.
