Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Develop and execute a comprehensive, year-round recruitment strategy to attract a diverse and skilled pool of volunteers that mirrors the community we serve.
- Act as the primary, welcoming point of contact for all prospective and current volunteers, handling inquiries with warmth, efficiency, and professionalism.

- Develop and manage a systematic process for scheduling volunteers across various programs and events, ensuring adequate coverage and clear communication of assignments.
- Serve as the key intermediary between staff and volunteers, fostering positive, collaborative relationships and ensuring seamless integration of volunteers into team workflows.
- Provide ongoing support, coaching, and supervision to volunteers, actively checking in to ensure they feel valued, supported, and successful in their roles.
- Create and implement a meaningful volunteer recognition program, including formal appreciation events, informal acknowledgements, and celebrating key milestones.
- Track, analyze, and report on key volunteer program metrics, such as hours served, retention rates, and recruitment success, to demonstrate program impact.
- Develop and distribute regular communications, including newsletters, email updates, and social media content, to keep volunteers informed and engaged.
- Proactively solicit feedback from both volunteers and staff through surveys and conversations to identify areas for program improvement and innovation.
