Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive, long-term IT strategic roadmap that aligns with and supports the company's business goals, in collaboration with the executive leadership team.
  • Provide strong leadership, mentorship, and professional development to the entire Information Technology department, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Direct the design, implementation, and maintenance of a scalable, secure, and reliable technology infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, cloud services, and data centers.
  • Establish and oversee the enterprise-wide information security program, implementing robust strategies, policies, and controls to protect company data and assets from cyber threats.
  • Manage the complete IT financial lifecycle, including the development and administration of annual capital and operational budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and a strong return on technology investments.
  • Lead all aspects of vendor management, including sourcing, contract negotiation, and relationship management with software, hardware, and service providers to ensure optimal performance and value.
  • Formulate and maintain a comprehensive disaster recovery and business continuity plan to minimize business disruption and ensure the resilience of critical IT systems in the event of an outage.
  • Ensure the organization's adherence to all relevant legal and regulatory requirements concerning data privacy, governance, and IT controls, such as SOX, GDPR, HIPAA, or CCPA.
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives across the organization, identifying and implementing new technologies and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and employee productivity.
  • Serve as the primary technology partner to all business units, effectively communicating IT strategy, performance, and risk to executive stakeholders and the board of directors.
  • Oversee the portfolio of enterprise business applications (e.g., ERP, CRM, HRIS), ensuring they meet business needs and are properly supported, integrated, and upgraded.
  • Establish and enforce IT governance frameworks, including policies, standards, and best practices for infrastructure, security, data, and application development.
  • Direct the IT Service Management (ITSM) function to deliver high-quality technical support and a positive user experience for all employees across the organization.
  • Continuously research and evaluate emerging technologies, industry trends, and innovative solutions, providing recommendations to senior leadership on potential opportunities for competitive advantage.
  • Provide executive oversight for the IT project portfolio, ensuring that all projects are strategically aligned, properly resourced, and delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.

  • Cybersecurity Strategy: Proficient in developing and implementing security programs based on established frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls.
  • Enterprise Systems Architecture: Strong understanding of the selection, implementation, and integration of core business systems such as ERP, CRM, and HRIS.
  • IT Financial Management: Demonstrated ability in creating, managing, and optimizing multi-million dollar IT capital and operational budgets.
  • Vendor & Contract Negotiation: Proven skill in negotiating complex contracts and managing strategic relationships with major technology vendors and service providers.
