Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Develop and execute a long-term technology vision and strategic roadmap that aligns with and drives overarching business objectives and market opportunities.
  • Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing, globally distributed engineering organization, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC), from ideation and architectural design to deployment, maintenance, and operations, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions.
  • Drive architectural decisions and establish best practices for software engineering, code quality, testing, and deployment to ensure the long-term health and scalability of our technology stack.
  • Partner closely with the Chief Product Officer and other executive leaders to define product strategy, prioritize initiatives, and ensure seamless alignment between product and engineering teams.
  • Manage the technology budget, including resource allocation, vendor negotiations, and capital expenditures, to maximize ROI and ensure financial accountability.
  • Champion and implement modern Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD methodologies to optimize development velocity, improve predictability, and enhance team productivity.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and engineering metrics (e.g., deployment frequency, lead time for changes, uptime) to drive performance and data-informed decision-making.
  • Act as the senior technical advisor to the executive team and board of directors, effectively communicating complex technical concepts, risks, and opportunities to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Oversee the company's technology infrastructure, ensuring its reliability, scalability, security, and performance meet the demands of a growing user base.
  • Implement and maintain robust information security, data privacy, and compliance policies (e.g., SOC 2, GDPR, CCPA) across all technology systems.
  • Attract, hire, and retain top-tier engineering talent, building a diverse and inclusive team environment that promotes professional growth and career development.
  • Foster a culture of technical innovation by staying abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and competitive landscapes, and championing research and development initiatives.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • Expertise in modern architectural patterns (e.g., microservices, event-driven architecture, serverless).
  • Deep understanding of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Proficiency in scaling Agile, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies across a large organization.
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).

Education & Experience

Educational Background

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree
