- Scan, label and affix shipping and product labels per company procedures ensuring barcode readability and correct carrier documentation for both domestic and international shipments.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., pallet jacks, electric pallet trucks, order pickers, reach trucks) in accordance with company training, certifications, and OSHA guidelines.
- Perform quality checks during picking to identify damaged, expired, or incorrectly labeled products and log/segregate exceptions following return or defect procedures.
- Follow FIFO (first-in, first-out) and FEFO (first-expiring, first-out) inventory rotation methods to minimize waste and ensure order freshness for perishable or date-sensitive goods.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning received goods, updating counts during cycle counts, and reporting discrepancies to Inventory Control for investigation and correction.
- Meet and exceed daily KPIs including picks per hour, lines per hour, order accuracy, and on-time staging benchmarks while adapting to changing priorities during peak volumes.
- Pick and pack specialized orders such as fragile items, hazardous materials (when trained), kitting, and promotional bundle orders according to packaging and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with inbound receiving tasks when required: unloading, unpacking, verifying manifests, and putting away product into correct locations using WMS-directed putaway processes.
- Prepare pallets and cartons for shipment, applying stretch wrap, strapping, and pallet stabilization techniques to protect goods during transit.
- Execute returns processing (RMA) tasks including inspection, disposition, and restocking or quarantine of returned items based on condition and protocol.
- Participate in regular cycle counts, spot checks and physical inventories; reconcile stock variances and support root-cause analysis to reduce shrinkage and improve counts.

- Handle and dispose of empty packing materials and waste following recycling and sustainability guidelines to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Record production and error metrics in WMS or spreadsheets as required; provide feedback on process improvements to increase throughput and reduce error rates.
- Follow chain-of-custody and security protocols for high-value or controlled items, documenting movement and ensuring proper sign-off and seals where required.
- Support seasonal or peak operation surges by completing overtime assignments, shift changes, and temporary reassignments while maintaining high performance standards.
- Ensure compliance with product-specific handling instructions (temperature controls, hazardous material placarding, fragile labels) and escalate any nonconformances to leads.
- Assist with training new hires and temporary staff on picking procedures, safety expectations, WMS basics, and quality standards when requested by supervisors.
- Maintain barcode label and shelving organization, including refilling pick faces and ensuring correct slotting to support fast and accurate picking.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen events, and process audits to help reduce cycle times and eliminate waste in picking and staging processes.
