- Execute daily cycle counts and periodic physical inventories, reconcile count discrepancies, research root causes, and coordinate adjustments in the ERP/WMS to maintain accurate stock levels and reporting.
- Prepare and verify outbound shipping documentation (manifests, bills of lading, commercial invoices where required), coordinate carrier pick-ups, and ensure compliance with carrier and regulatory requirements.
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and trailers using proper loading patterns and securement techniques to prevent product damage and ensure compliance with weight and load stability guidelines.
- Apply barcode scanning and labeling procedures—print and affix labels, re-label damaged or incorrect barcodes, and maintain accurate SKU and lot traceability for inventory control and recall readiness.
- Perform basic equipment inspections and routine maintenance (battery charging, tire checks, fluid levels, visual safety checks) and log issues promptly to facilities or maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
- Stage and sequence replenishment tasks for production or shipping lines, coordinate with supervisors to prioritize urgent orders, and adjust workflows to meet changing demand and tight deadlines.
- Support returns processing and reverse logistics: receive returned merchandise, inspect items, process RMA paperwork, restock sellable goods, and dispose of or segregate damaged goods according to policy.

- Use handheld RF scanners and warehouse management software to complete transactions in real time, troubleshoot scanning errors, and coordinate with IT or operations for resolution.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as pick accuracy, order cycle time, on-time shipments, and inventory variance, recommending process improvements when trends indicate issues.
- Train and mentor new warehouse associates on receiving, picking, packing, safety practices, equipment operation, and system usage to accelerate onboarding and build team capability.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including Kaizen events, to identify waste, standardize work, and implement small-batch process changes that yield measurable throughput or quality gains.
- Execute special projects and ad-hoc tasks such as seasonal inventory surges, promotional build-outs, or layout reconfigurations, collaborating with cross-functional teams (shipping, purchasing, production) as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, shipping regulations, export/import documentation requirements (if applicable), and gender- and age-appropriate labor guidelines, escalating compliance concerns to management.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, logistics carriers, and internal customers to resolve order exceptions, expedite shipments, and provide timely status updates on critical items.
- Support data accuracy by entering corrective adjustments, documenting damage claims, and maintaining audit trails for inventory transactions to support internal and external audits.
