Primary Functions

- Install hardware, bulkheads, handles, foot braces, drain plugs, valves, fittings, and threaded inserts to specified torque values and sequences to maintain structural integrity and water-tightness.
- Perform leak and pressure testing on inflatable hulls and compartments using air/pressure tests, immersion checks, and visual inspections; document results and remediate failures.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, templates, and measurement specifications; use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, tape measures) to verify dimensions and tolerances.

- Follow standardized work instructions, production routings, and cycle-time targets to meet daily/weekly output goals while preserving workmanship and safety.
- Use adhesive bonding and solvent welding techniques for thermoplastic components (PVC, Urethane, Hypalon), ensuring seams are fully fused and reinforced per product specs.
- Carry out foam shaping, core assembly, and fitting of inserts for flotation, buoyancy, and comfort features in paddleboards and kayak seats.
- Maintain accurate production documentation (work orders, assembly checklists, QC reports, traveler cards) to support traceability and warranty claims.
- Participate in pre-shift toolbox talks and safety briefings; adhere to PPE, ventilation, and hazardous material handling rules while mixing and applying chemicals.
- Troubleshoot assembly process issues, equipment anomalies, and fitment problems; suggest and implement practical solutions to reduce rework and scrap.
- Package finished products securely for domestic and international shipment according to packaging specifications and export requirements; label and palletize items for freight.
- Assist in setting up jigs, templates, molds, and fixtures for new models and production runs; perform first-article builds and dimensional sign-off.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives (5S, Kaizen, root-cause analysis) to streamline workflows, reduce waste, and improve product quality and throughput.
- Train and mentor junior assemblers and temporary staff on standard assembly methods, safe chemical handling, and quality expectations to build a reliable production team.
- Coordinate with quality assurance, engineering, and materials teams to escalate recurring defects and update work instructions or tooling where needed.
- Maintain tool calibration records and conduct routine preventive maintenance on hand and powered tools to minimize downtime and ensure precision.
