  • Drive partner integrations and third‑party extension scenarios (Add‑ins, O365 connectors), including contractual coordination, API stability, and partner release alignment.
  • Prioritize accessibility, security, and compliance requirements in product planning; collaborate with accessibility and security teams to ensure regulatory and policy adherence.
  • Lead cross‑disciplinary post‑mortem and retrospective processes to capture learnings, improve processes, and institutionalize best practices across programs.
  • Own product launch planning working with marketing, documentation, support, legal, and sales enablement to ensure a coordinated go‑to‑market and customer adoption strategy.
  • Define and refine developer and partner experiences, including APIs, SDKs, documentation, and sample code to enable a thriving ecosystem around Word.
  • Partner with localization and internationalization teams to ensure features meet global market needs including language support, cultural formatting, and right‑to‑left UI considerations.
  • Advocate for user‑centric design by synthesizing customer feedback and telemetry into prioritized improvements that increase retention, engagement, and satisfaction.
  • Lead cost, performance, and scalability planning for document rendering, sync, and cloud services; drive performance budgets and observe/act on telemetry for real world scale.
  • Coordinate test strategy and quality plans including automated testing coverage, integration, end‑to‑end tests, and partner acceptance criteria to reduce regressions.
  • Mentor and coach cross‑functional team members on execution discipline, program best practices, and outcome‑focused roadmaps; help teams grow program management maturity.
  • Manage complex stakeholder tradeoffs by balancing short‑term fixes and long‑term investments, driving clear prioritization frameworks and decision criteria.
  • Own feature deprecation and migration plans for customers and enterprise admins, ensuring communication, tooling, and rollback plans are in place to minimize disruption.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal business customers (Sales, Support, Legal, Trust & Safety) to align on product policies, contractual commitments, and escalations.

Secondary Functions

  • Support ad-hoc data requests and exploratory data analysis.
  • Contribute to the organization's data strategy and roadmap.
  • Collaborate with business units to translate data needs into engineering requirements.
  • Participate in sprint planning and agile ceremonies within the data engineering team.
