Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Safely operate company vans, box trucks, or light-duty commercial vehicles to complete scheduled daily routes delivering automotive aftermarket parts to repair shops, dealerships, and wholesale customers while maintaining a clean driving record and adhering to all local, state, and federal regulations.

- Provide professional, courteous, and product-informed customer service at customer locations by confirming parts fitment, advising on basic part interchange information, and escalating technical or inventory questions to parts counter staff or technical specialists.
- Manage route logistics to maximize on-time delivery performance, using route-optimization software, GPS navigation, and real-time communication with dispatch to adjust to traffic, weather, or customer availability.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, fuel receipts, and daily vehicle inspection checklists, and submit these records in a timely manner through company systems for payroll and compliance.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (tires, lights, brakes, fluids, cargo securement) and report any defects or incidents immediately to fleet management to ensure vehicle safety and regulatory compliance.
- Collect customer payments, process COD transactions, reconcile invoices and receipts at the end of the shift, and follow company cash-handling and reconciliation procedures to maintain accurate financial records.
- Handle returns, core exchanges, and warranty parts by confirming return authorizations, documenting conditions, and transporting returns back to the distribution center following company returns policy.
- Maintain and organize vehicle inventory and parts stock in assigned delivery vehicle, restocking from the warehouse as needed to support on-route sales and expedite customer needs.
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and sales staff about delays, missed deliveries, special instructions, or product shortages to enable timely customer notifications and problem resolution.
- Follow DOT, company safety policies, and PPE requirements, participate in safety briefings, and take corrective action to eliminate hazards during loading/unloading and while on the road.
