Primary Functions

  • Supervise, coach, and develop a team of writers, editors, and content coordinators, conducting regular performance reviews and creating individual development plans to elevate editorial quality and career growth.
  • Establish, maintain, and enforce editorial standards, style guides (AP/Chicago/house style), and brand voice guidelines to ensure consistent, high-quality content across all channels.
  • Lead the editorial planning process by setting content priorities, assigning work, and ensuring timely delivery of campaigns, product launches, regulatory communications, and corporate materials.
  • Oversee copyediting and proofreading processes, ensuring accuracy, clarity, grammar, and legal/regulatory compliance in all written materials before publication.

  • Lead crisis and executive communications writing, ensuring rapid, accurate, and brand-aligned messages during sensitive or time-critical events.
  • Coordinate multi-channel editorial campaigns—aligning messaging across web, email, social, intranet, and print—while adapting tone and length for each format.
  • Mentor team members in storytelling, audience analysis, persuasion techniques, and optimization for digital channels including A/B testing of headlines and calls-to-action.
  • Oversee content localization and translation workflows to ensure culturally appropriate and linguistically accurate content for global audiences.
  • Manage vendor relationships for freelance writers, agencies, and localization partners; negotiate scopes, rates, and deliverable timelines while maintaining quality standards.
  • Ensure all digital content meets accessibility standards (WCAG) and works with UX and development teams to remediate accessibility issues in written materials.
  • Maintain content inventories and participate in content audits to retire outdated content, reduce redundancy, and improve the overall content ecosystem.
  • Drive process improvements in editorial production (templates, automation, CMS integrations) to increase throughput without sacrificing quality.
  • Train non-writer stakeholders on basic writing and messaging principles, review protocols, and how to submit clear content requests to the editorial team.
  • Act as final editor for high-visibility external communications such as annual reports, press releases, executive messaging, and regulatory filings.
  • Manage editorial budgets, resource allocation, and hiring plans to ensure the team can meet demand and strategic priorities.
  • Play a central role in shaping brand narrative and long-form content (whitepapers, thought leadership, case studies) to support business development and reputation management.
  • Lead regular editorial meetings, stand-ups, and cross-functional reviews to ensure alignment, anticipate roadblocks, and manage interdependencies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, SEO algorithm changes, and content technologies (CMS, headless platforms, content automation, AI-assisted writing tools) to keep the team competitive and efficient.
  • Enforce confidentiality and legal guidelines for sensitive content, working closely with legal and compliance teams to vet messaging and disclosures.

Secondary Functions

  • Support content analytics requests and partner with analytics teams to explore deeper insights (segmentation, cohort analysis, attribution) that inform content decisions.

Educational Background

Minimum Education:
