Primary Functions

- Provide pre-translation research and subject-matter consultation, including terminology research, legal checks, and cultural sensitivity review to prevent localization missteps.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex linguistic issues arising from ambiguous source text, inconsistent terminology, or technical constraints, and negotiate acceptable solutions with stakeholders.
- Support pricing, proposals and SOWs by producing accurate localization estimates, level-of-effort analyses, and option-based quotes (e.g., full human translation vs. MT with post-editing).
- Run pilot localization projects and proof-of-concept MT integrations with performance evaluation, ROI modeling, and phased rollout plans to scale translation automation safely.
- Ensure cross-team collaboration with engineering, product management, QA, and marketing to prioritize localization fixes and to plan localization for product roadmaps and release cycles.
